Notes on Platinum Blonde (1931)

Despite the fact that you could easily tell that Jean Harlow wore no bra I thought Loretta Young was sexier and more radiant than Harlow. Need to see more films with Loretta Young.

Credited with dialogue there are some great lines from Robert Riskin.

Robert Williams died at the age of 34 in 1931. The same year “Platinum Blonde” was released. Jean Harlow who was only twenty when this was made would die 6 years later.

Harlow is miscast as a young society woman. Young and Harlow should have reversed roles.

From the work on this film, Robert Williams should have had a great career ahead of him.
