Below are some photos of The Beatles Official Fan Club Christmas Records given exclusively to fan club members only.
Before Capitol Records gained the exclusive rights for Beatles recordings in the U.S., VeeJay Records used this sleeve to release Beatles 45’s (I am not sure but probably Please Please Me/From Me to You) during the 1964 Christmas season.
In 1963 and 1964 The Beatles performed in their own Christmas Shows. They performed their latest songs and took part in comical skits. Other groups such as Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas were also part of the show. These shows were mostly in London though one took place in Liverpool and one in Bradford. Below is a copy of a souvenir program.
The Beatles at the Astoria Cinema in Finsbury, London performing in their Christmas Show.
Original picture sleeve for McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” single.
Original picture sleeve for John Lennon’s Happy Xmas (War is Over) single.
Again you inspire the graphic landscape with always-venerated memories from years back when the Fab Four were the center of our lives in so many ways. And I dare say this breathtaking art will inspire many to go right to their newly-purchased CD sets. Awesome display here John!

thanks Sam – I thought it would bring back some fond memories for some of us who were there during those days.

John – I agree with Sam, this is a wonderful photo spread. I’m far too young to have been around to experience Beatlemania first hand (which is not said to make anyone else feel old! LOL), but I’m a huge Beatles fan too. I couldn’t resist purchasing the remasters when they came out a few months ago, but as Sam said, this would be a wonderful gift for someone at Christmas. The remasters are spectacular.

Thanks Dave – I am sure the remasters are great but I have so many versions of their albums/CD’s that I just refuse to buy anymore unless there is something new.

Great compilation of vintage Beatles posters. And speaking of Beatles, do have a look at this link:

If you haven’t already read what’s there, I assure you, you’ll be in for an absolutely amazing and hilarious read. To give you a teaser, its about a song written (guess what) by Dylan, Lennon & McCartney in a hotel room over a round of joints!!!

Shubhajit,
thanks for the link. I don’t know if you are aware but this excerpt from the NOVEL is a wotk of fiction. The author, who knew the Beatles, took their story and wrote this ‘hilarious read’ I read the paperback when it came out. It is a funny book but it is a novel.

A great selection of posters etc here, John – I’m just a few years too young to have been a fan when the Beatles were actually around, but I liked both Lennon and McCartney’s music in the 1970s and then discovered their 1960s music in retrospect!
